I was just testing to see if I could make up some good looking costal defense guns. they can fire whatever you put in the dispensers (I use fire charges) but I'm not sure I'm happy with the look of them.

They look pretty neat - I'd suggest what one of the other people said, though, to move the cannons up another block.
I don't think you'd be able to do much else, though. They look really neat, either way!
